City Park Players Deliver Quality Community Theater

View All Arts & Music

Founded in 1956, the City Park Players is a beloved community theater troupe in Alexandria. Hosting four productions annually, the dramatic arts organization is housed in the Kress Theatre in downtown Alexandria – space once occupied by the national S.H. Kress five-and-dime store.

Recent City Park Players productions include "The Mousetrap" by Agatha Christie, the musical "Ain't Misbehavin'" and the detective comedy "Grandmothers, Incorporated." Auditions are held regularly, giving local talent a chance to perform on stage with other committed dramatists.
