Alexandria’s T.R.E.E. House Children's Museum offers 7,800-square-feet of hands-on educational fun for children ages 1 to 12. The Third Street museum in the city’s downtown arts district encourages play and active learning through exhibits and festivals with themes ranging from science to Mardi Gras. Favorite museum features include an oversized indoor playhouse, a gallery of miniature trains traveling tiny landscapes and an interactive television studio, where kids cast themselves in the role of television journalists.

Events like a fall pumpkin-carving festival celebrate Central Louisiana’s changing seasons. The museum also hosts summer camps with topics ranging from science to art to veterinary interests. Additional museum elements and programming include:

  • Art center
  • Junior-engineering programs (for young train lovers)
  • Play and music centers
  • Storytelling room

The T.R.E.E. House Children's Museum invites parents to participate join in the fun with events like all-ages musical bowling night.
