NIGHTLIFE

Good times are easy to find in Central Louisiana.

Home to a number of popular and diverse restaurants, local pubs and local hotspots, the region provides residents with plenty of ways to unwind at the end of the day and relax with family or friends.

Because many area restaurants and establishments also double as live music venues in the evening, residents often find themselves dancing the night away to live music performed by a popular local band, or catching an entertaining show after dinner. At one of Alexandria’s theaters, audiences can see performances ranging from musicals to ballet.

Live music & theater

Live music and local shows inspire residents to hit the dance floor or to sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds while visiting with friends and family. Venues feature artists who play songs ranging from original, local favorites to cover bands that perform hits from a variety of genres, including jazz, country, blues and soul.

Locals dress up and head out for an evening of art and culture. At the Hearn Stage in the Kress Theatre on 3rd Street, audiences can enjoy theatrical performances from the likes of the City Park Players or head over to the Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center for a musical, ballet or symphony concert.
